About the Role:

Studio Underground is looking for a skilled and self-driven Web & Mobile Application Developer with strong expertise in PHP and WordPress to manage, maintain, and enhance our existing website and in-house web applications. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling the design, development, and maintenance of web and mobile applications for internal operational use.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve the design and functionality of existing WordPress-based websites. Work on ongoing web application development projects, built primarily using PHP. Conceptualize, design, and develop internal web and mobile applications for workflow management and content production. Collaborate with creative and content teams to align tech solutions with organizational goals. Ensure performance, security, and scalability of all web-based platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, errors, or usability issues. Perform regular updates, backups, and optimizations for WordPress and other PHP-based systems.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong proficiency in PHP (Core PHP and frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus). Hands-on experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and optimization. Experience in developing web and mobile applications (progressive web apps or hybrid apps using frameworks like React Native or Flutter is a plus). Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX. Knowledge of MySQL, database design, and performance optimization. Experience in API integrations (RESTful APIs, third-party services, etc.). Familiarity with Git or any version control systems.

Preferred Qualities:

Ability to work independently and take full ownership of tasks and responsibilities. Strong problem-solving and project management skills. Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated with attention to detail. Excellent communication and time management.

Bonus Skills (Optional but Beneficial):

Experience in mobile-first design and UI/UX best practices. Knowledge of deploying applications on shared and cloud-based servers (like cPanel, AWS, etc.). Familiarity with task management or ERP tools. Understanding of SEO basics and performance audits.
