Web Journalist Trainee

to join our newsroom. The role offers hands-on experience in digital news reporting, content creation, and multimedia storytelling. You will work closely with editors, reporters, and the digital team to produce engaging, accurate, and timely online news content.

Key Responsibilities

Research, write, and edit news stories for the website and social media platforms Monitor breaking news, trending topics, and viral content across digital channels Assist in curating and uploading multimedia content (text, images, and video) Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure factual accuracy and adherence to journalistic ethics Optimize articles for search engines (SEO) and audience engagement Support live coverage of events, press conferences, and social media updates

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field Strong writing and editing skills in English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus) Awareness of current affairs, social media trends, and digital storytelling formats Basic understanding of online publishing tools and CMS platforms Passion for news, digital media, and fast-paced newsroom environments
