Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-sufficient Lead Web Developer with a strong background in WordPress development, digital campaign assets, and a solid understanding of the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing websites, emails, banners, and API integrations, and will be capable of thriving in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of web assets including websites, HTML5 banners, and marketing emails.
• Build and manage WordPress sites using custom post types, custom plugins, and page builders like Elementor (or similar).
• Ensure all assets meet privacy, accessibility (e.g., HIPAA, PII compliance), and SEO standards.
• Develop responsive, cross-platform, and cross-client compatible HTML emails (table-based).
• Create HTML5 banner ads with clickTag, ad specs compliance, and support for platforms like Google Ads.
• Integrate websites with third-party systems (e.g., CRMs, Greenhouse, Mailchimp).
• Implement and troubleshoot API integrations and ensure seamless data flow between systems.
• Apply best practices in QA, code optimization, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, project management, and QA.
• Maintain awareness of current trends and tools in digital/web development and apply them where appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Overall 7+ years Proven experience in a web development role, preferably in an agency or pharmaceutical/life sciences environment.
• Expertise in:

• WordPress (custom post types, plugins, builders like Elementor)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON
• HTML email development (table-based, tested across clients)
• HTML5 banner ad creation
• Strong experience with API integrations and CMS/CRM systems.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and data privacy regulations.
• Experience handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and compliance with HIPAA is a strong plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI/chatbot integration.
• Background or portfolio demonstrating work in regulated industries, especially pharma/life sciences.
