Web Developer (Wordpress & CMS)

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS3) and their libraries.

Strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and CMS architecture. Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers

Knowledge of interaction of RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

Strong understanding of PHP back-end development Knowledge of converting designs into WordPress themes. Experience working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. Ability to handle and manage multiple projects. Basic understanding of SEO

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Meeting with clients to discuss website design and function. Creating the website architecture. Designing and building the website front-end. Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration. Ensuring high-performance and managing all the technical aspects of the CMS Generating WordPress themes and plugins. Maintain well-documented and reusable code. Conducting website performance tests. Troubleshooting database and content related issues Conducting WordPress training with the client. Monitoring the performance of the live website.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 11:00am - 8:00pm, 40 hours per week. On site in our Mumbai office. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
