Role Overview

The Web Developer will be responsible for defining website structure, crafting user journeys, and developing functional and visually compelling websites. This role combines

website strategy, design thinking, and technical development

. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for UX/UI, an understanding of digital branding, and the ability to build and manage sites using multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Web Strategy & UX Thinking

Understand

client needs, business goals, and audience personas

to develop a site's core messaging. Ideate and map out

website structure, information flow, and navigation

. Define

wireframes and content hierarchy

to enhance user experience. Conduct

competitor research

and recommend best practices.

2. Brand Alignment & Visual Consistency

Work with brand identity elements (color palette, typography, icons, etc.) to ensure a cohesive digital presence. Maintain consistency with the

brand style guide

and create a seamless look and feel.

3. Website Development & CMS Setup

Build and customize

WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Webflow

sites based on client briefs. Work with

WordPress themes

and modify them extensively to match brand aesthetics without additional design support. Implement basic

dynamic elements and CMS

for client websites. Optimize websites for

speed, performance, and SEO

.

4. Domain, Hosting & Email Management

Set up and manage

domain registrations, hosting, and email services

for Toruss clients. Troubleshoot

server, SSL, and security issues

when necessary. Ensure regular website maintenance and backups.

5. Basic Development & Integrations

Implement

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

for minor frontend customizations. Set up

Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and marketing integrations

. Ensure cross-browser and mobile responsiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2-4 years of experience

in web design, UX/UI, or web development. Strong understanding of

website strategy, content architecture, and user journeys

. Proficiency in

WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and Wix

. Ability to

customize WordPress themes

independently. Working knowledge of

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

, and CMS functionalities. Strong

design sense

and ability to work with

brand identity elements

. Experience with

SEO basics, Google Analytics, and performance optimization

. Ability to

manage hosting, domains, and email services

. Strong problem-solving skills and

independent working capability
