The Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications. The role focuses on functionality, performance, security, and user experience while aligning with business goals.
Key Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesWebsite Development
Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Ensure websites are responsive and compatible across devices and browsers
Front-End Development
Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
Optimize website layout, speed, and performance
Ensure consistent branding and visual design implementation
Back-End Development
Develop and manage server-side logic, databases, and APIs
Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and payment gateways
Ensure data security and website scalability
Testing & Debugging
Test websites for bugs, usability issues, and performance problems
Fix errors and improve existing features
Conduct regular website maintenance and updates
SEO & Performance Optimization
Implement basic SEO best practices (site speed, metadata, structured data)
Optimize images, scripts, and databases for performance
Monitor website analytics and performance metrics
Collaboration & Project Management
Work closely with designers, marketers, and content teams
Understand project requirements and timelines
Provide technical support and training when needed
Security & Compliance
Implement website security measures and data protection protocols
Regularly update software, plugins, and frameworks
Ensure compliance with data privacy and accessibility standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Experience with front-end and/or back-end technologies
Knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, etc.)
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
