Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, picking, packing, and shipping.
Inventory control:
Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular audits and cycle counts, and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and discrepancies.
Regulatory compliance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant pharmaceutical regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and maintain quality standards.
Staff leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage employee time and schedules.
Health, safety, and security:
Implement and enforce safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and establish and maintain security procedures.
Logistics and coordination:
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., customer service) and external partners (suppliers, transport companies) to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Reporting and analysis:
Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Continuous improvement:
Analyze and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
Essential skills and qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or wholesale distribution.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (GMP, GDP) and quality systems.
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud, SAP) is beneficial.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks.
