Role Overview
The
Store Coach
plays a critical role in driving store performance by training, coaching, and mentoring Beauty Advisors and Store Managers. This role focuses on improving sales productivity, customer experience, product knowledge, and adherence to Purplle's retail standards across assigned stores in Kerala.
The Store Coach will frequently travel within the assigned region and act as a bridge between the retail operations team and frontline staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Coaching
Conduct onboarding and refresher training for Beauty Advisors and Store Managers
Coach teams on selling skills, customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling
Deliver product knowledge training for new launches and promotions
Identify skill gaps and implement corrective coaching plans
Store Performance Support
Support stores in achieving sales targets and KPIs
Monitor conversion, average bill value (ABV), and customer retention metrics
Guide teams on visual merchandising and in-store hygiene standards
Ensure SOP and brand guideline adherence
Field Execution
Visit assigned stores as per monthly beat plan
Observe floor operations and provide real-time feedback
Support new store openings and stabilization
Share best practices across stores
Reporting & Coordination
Submit daily/weekly visit and training reports
Coordinate with HR, Retail Ops, and Category teams
Track training effectiveness and performance improvements
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Improvement in store sales and productivity
Training completion and certification scores
Reduction in attrition and performance gaps
Store audit and SOP compliance scores
Candidate ProfileEducation
Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Retail preferred)
Experience
3-6 years of experience in retail beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, or fashion
Minimum 1-2 years in a training, coaching, or supervisory role
Strong understanding of beauty products and retail operations
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and presentation skills (English & Malayalam mandatory)
Strong coaching and people development skills
High energy, result-oriented, and field-ready
Willingness to travel extensively within Kerala
