Job Purpose:
The Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of machines, equipment, and systems at client locations. The engineer will provide technical support, perform installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks for a range of mechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Perform installation of equipment and systems at client locations according to specifications.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to machines, equipment, and systems in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime.
Repairs: Conduct repairs and replacement of defective parts to ensure the equipment operates efficiently.
Technical Support: Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to clients.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure machines and systems are operating at peak performance.
Client Communication: Regularly interact with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service.
Documentation: Maintain detailed reports of work performed, including troubleshooting, repairs, and part replacements.
Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during all service-related activities.
Upgrades and Modifications: Suggest and implement upgrades to improve system functionality.
Training: Train clients and operators on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics or related field).
Proven experience in equipment servicing and repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role in [specific industry].
Familiarity with automated systems, robotics, or IT equipment.
