Position: Merchandiser Cum Designer

Reporting To: Design Head / Merchandising Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Create original design concepts, mood boards, and tech packs for collections
Work closely with clients/buyers to understand design briefs and requirements
Develop samples and coordinate with sampling & production teams
Source fabrics, trims, and other raw materials for designs
Conduct trend research and competitor analysis for seasonal collections
Prepare cost sheets and finalize pricing with internal teams
Manage client communication and follow up on orders and approvals
Coordinate with production for timelines, quality, and delivery
Maintain accurate records of design, sampling, and order status
Attend buyer meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field
1-3 years of experience as a merchandiser and/or fashion designer
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools
Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production cycles
Excellent communication and time management skills
