The Water Ride Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all water rides and activity areas within the facility. The role involves supervising staff, monitoring equipment, enforcing safety standards, and providing visitors with a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience. This position requires strong technical knowledge, quick decision-making abilities, and effective leadership skills.

Ride Safety & Operations



Ensure the safe operation of all water rides, slides, pools, and activity zones throughout the day. Monitor rider behavior to ensure strict adherence to safety rules, height restrictions, and operational guidelines. Manage the safe separation of riders on water attractions to prevent collisions and ensure controlled entry and exit. Oversee the operation of traffic simulation rides or training programs, ensuring proper functioning and safety compliance. Respond immediately to ride malfunctions, safety hazards, or guest issues, coordinating with maintenance teams when necessary.

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance



Conduct daily pre-opening safety inspections on all equipment, ensuring proper functionality and identifying potential risks. Perform routine maintenance checks and promptly report technical issues for repair or replacement. Verify that all safety equipment--life jackets, rescue gear, signage, and barriers--are properly placed and functioning.

Staff Supervision & Coordination



Supervise lifeguards, ride operators, and other support staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety protocols. Provide regular training and briefings to staff on emergency procedures, equipment handling, and guest communication. Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline, teamwork, and professional behavior within the department.

Crowd Management & Guest Experience



Ensure effective crowd control during peak hours to avoid congestion and maintain smooth queue movement. Assist guests by providing clear instructions, safety guidelines, and a pleasant customer experience. Manage emergency situations calmly, assisting guests and coordinating with medical or emergency response teams.

Record Keeping & Reporting



Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, accidents, guest concerns, and corrective actions taken. Document all maintenance activities, safety checks, and operational logs on a daily basis. Prepare periodic safety reports and share them with management for review and improvement.

Compliance & Standards



Ensure compliance with local, state, and organizational safety regulations and guidelines. Participate in audits, inspections, and safety evaluations to maintain high industry standards. Continuously monitor processes and suggest improvements to enhance ride safety and guest satisfaction.
