Identify faults in mechanical, automatic, and quartz movements using specialized equipment (e.g., Witschi, Proof Master).
Case & Bracelet Work:
Perform polishing, case refinishing, and bracelet sizing/adjustment.
Water Resistance:
Test and ensure proper sealing.
Quality Control:
Regulate movements and test for accuracy.
Customer Service:
Communicate with customers, explain repairs, and manage service records.
Inventory:
Maintain parts and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in mechanical/quartz repair, micromechanics, using hand/machine tools, calipers, and testing equipment.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, patience, problem-solving, and good communication.
Education:
Often requires watchmaking courses or apprenticeships; a technical background in design/tech or physics can be helpful.
