Job Description

A warehouse team leader supervises and manages a team of warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations, including inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, and overall productivity. Key responsibilities involve coordinating tasks, training and mentoring employees, monitoring safety and compliance, and maintaining clear records and communication with other departments. Core responsibilities Team management: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the warehouse team, including planning and prioritizing work assignments, managing performance, and handling employee issues. Inventory control: Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counting and accurate record-keeping for all received, stored, and shipped goods. Operational efficiency: Ensure smooth workflow and efficiency to meet company targets by streamlining processes, managing workload, and implementing improvements. Shipping and receiving: Manage the processes for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, which can include loading and unloading materials. Training and development: Train new team members, mentor staff, and provide guidance on proper procedures and techniques to ensure high-quality standards are met. Safety and compliance: Enforce all warehouse rules, safety protocols, and compliance regulations, and ensure a safe working environment. Quality assurance: Monitor and audit the quality of the team's work to meet established standards. Inter-departmental coordination: Communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth operations across the company. Other duties may include Inspecting work equipment and machinery for maintenance needs. Developing and implementing new strategies or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Reviewing productivity reports and providing input to management. Assisting with logistics and transportation for inbound and outbound products. Tamil candidates only
