The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety. The supervisor leads warehouse staff, coordinates workflows, and works closely with logistics, inventory, and customer service teams to support smooth order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and returns.
Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping for e-commerce customers.
Monitor staff performance and adjust manpower to meet daily order volumes.
Implement best practices for warehouse layout, storage, and process efficiency.
Coordinate with courier partners to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Inventory Control
Oversee stock receiving, put-away, cycle counts, and stock audits.
Maintain accurate inventory records in WMS/ERP systems.
Identify and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, and quality issues.
Team Leadership
Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates.
Assign tasks and schedules to ensure optimal workflow.
Promote a positive, disciplined, and high-performance work culture.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and proper equipment usage.
Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety checks and incident reporting.
Process Improvement
Analyze operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
Support automation initiatives, barcode systems, and technology adoption.
Work closely with management to meet KPIs like order accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant diploma (preferred but not compulsory).
3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory systems, barcode scanning, and MS Office.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Good understanding of logistics, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment processes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
