The primary role of Distribution Operations function is to be responsible for all operational activities including key deliverables such as planning and analysing resources and ensuring items are packaged according to specifications. Coordinating import and export. Performing distribution centre/warehousing processing and distribution of orders. Developing & maintaining master schedule, pertaining to transport and cost effectiveness. Maintaining inventory levels. Identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Leader - Emerging Markets Asia, this role will partner with the respective India Business Revenue Leaders (B2B, DTC, Government & Institutions, TSC, BD), to ensure distribution operations are supporting the business needs today, whilst evolving to meet future growth and business models.
Let's talk about Responsibilities:

• Operational excellence in logistics flow for pan India shipments with management of product and trade compliance in terms of Bonded warehousing for MRP labels, Imports License for medical products and various NOCs for the smooth & complaint customs clearance for both Air & Sea shipments. Product compliances with CDSCO, BIS, SVB, EPR ESG (PWM, EWM, BWM)
• Deep understanding of GST, IGST, CGST, SGST, surcharges, cess, customs duty calculations and various other levies.
• Partner with 3PL and 3PL employees to deliver the most optimal, effective, cost-efficient operations along with the implementation of Resmed Quality & Safety standards. Also partner with the 3PL to implement best industry practises for the warehousing and partner with courier & last mile partners for the distribution safety & Quality and deliver the best customer experience.
• Ensure all the products imported into India have a valid IL and other applicable licenses. Partner with RA & other respective teams for the renewal of the same.
• Partner with the customs agent, freight forwarders & Finance team for the smooth customs clearance without paying any penalty, detention & demurrages.
• Partner with QARA and Legal & compliance team for the WH licenses (MD 42) and other applicable licenses to ensure 100% compliance.
• Determine the appropriate distribution operations people resource and structure to support India businesses; implement any changes alongside the commercial leaders; and subsequently lead and manage the 3PL team.
• Collaborate with Planning to recommend, maintain and manage inventory and safety stock strategies.
• Partner with RA/QA, Global Trade Compliance and Supply Chain colleagues, to implement relevant regulatory requirements and quality objectives in respective countries.
• Partner with Customer Service, Finance (EFS), Technical Services and other functions, to ensure order-to-cash (O2C) and the inventory elements of procure-to-pay (P2P) are implemented and functioning to support the business objectives.
• Leveraging operational excellence and metrics by implementing continuous improvement tools and programs to control and improve operational performance.
• Prepare & publish monthly dashboard and scorecard for India Distribution Operations.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with significant exposure to distribution operations. With prior experience in a global MNC setup.
• Leadership experience in managing a 3PL and multiple courier partners
• Excellent people management, influencing and decision-making skills.
• Commercial experience; supporting commercial teams and their customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exposure to workplace safety and facility management best practice
• IT skills in Microsoft Office, Document Management Systems, ERP systems, E-commerce portals, Shopify, Amazon

Location:

• The role is currently based in Noida DC with visits to Resmed India HO (Delhi Aerocity) as and when needed.
