We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement process of goods and services for our organization. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality products, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the procurement process runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Analyze the organization's purchasing needs and create cost-effective purchasing plans.
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability.
Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.
Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with contracts.
Purchasing & Order Management:
Oversee the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate order placements to meet operational needs.
Monitor the status of orders and expedite orders as necessary to avoid delays.
Inventory Management:
Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimal, avoiding both shortages and overstock.
Track inventory turnover rates and collaborate on the development of inventory management systems.
Cost Control & Budget Management:
Control purchasing budgets and ensure that purchasing practices adhere to budget guidelines.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, whether through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, or process improvements.
Contract Management:
Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement contracts.
Maintain detailed records of all procurement transactions, contracts, and correspondence.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, standards, and external regulations.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to senior management.
Keep track of market trends and changes that could impact the cost or availability of products.
Team Leadership & Training:
Lead and manage a team of purchasing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Conduct training sessions for team members on procurement procedures, software, and compliance.
