Job Purpose :
The Factory Manager will be responsible for
complete supervision and independent management
of DKK's Pune manufacturing unit. The role covers production of forging lubricants, manpower management, quality assurance, inventory control, dispatch coordination, factory upkeep, compliance, basic accounts handling, and smooth coordination across internal teams.
This position requires a disciplined, trustworthy, and process-driven individual capable of managing day-to-day operations efficiently with minimal supervision.
6. Roles & ResponsibilitiesA. Production & Operations Management
Monitor daily production and ensure adherence to batch formulas and SOPs.
Monitor raw material usage, batch yields, and reduce process wastages.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and utilities.
B. Inventory, Procurement & Materials Management
Maintain accurate stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
Coordinate with approved suppliers for timely procurement.
Maintain GRN entries, stock registers, and ensure FIFO usage.
Avoid stock-out situations and maintain optimal inventory levels.
C. Team Leadership, Labour Management & Attendance
Supervise factory workers, helpers, operators, contract labour, and interns.
Handle labour hiring, contract manpower coordination, and monthly labour payments.
Maintain biometric attendance, absentee reports, leave records, and workforce discipline.
Conduct periodic training on safety, product handling, and SOP compliance.
Create a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and cleanliness.
D. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to DKK quality standards for every batch.
Oversee in-house quality checks (pH, viscosity, solids %, stability, lubrication performance).
Ensure compliance with factory norms, fire safety, environmental guidelines, and local regulations.
E. Dispatch, Logistics & Coordination
Coordinate dispatches, packaging, drum sealing, palletizing, and documentation.
Work closely with logistics partners for timely shipments.
Maintain dispatch tracker and daily records; support Accounts with required documentation.
Coordinate closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations and on-time customer deliveries.
F. Petty Cash Handling & Basic Accounts
Maintain factory petty cash with proper bills and entries.
Ensure transparency, correct usage, and monthly summary submission to Accounts.
Handle small local purchases (tools, PPE, stationery, cleaning items, minor spares).
Support monthly audit documentation.
G. Maintenance & Factory Upkeep
Oversee maintenance of all factory machinery & equipment including mixers, tanks, stirrers, pumps, motors, etc.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with the maintenance team/vendors.
Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, waste disposal, and storage hygiene.
Ensure proper functioning of CCTV, biometric system, fire extinguishers, PPE, and lighting.
H. Documentation & Reporting
Provide daily and weekly MIS reports to senior management.
Maintain compliance documentation, checklists, audit records, and equipment logs.
7. Key Requirements for the Role :
a) Male candidate
b) Good communication skills with a pleasing personality
c) Proficiency in written & spoken English
d) 8-12 years' experience in factory operations (lubricants, chemicals, paints, coatings preferred)
e) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
f) Proficiency in Tally ERP9
