Oversee daily operations of receiving, storage, inventory, and dispatch.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
2) Team Management:
Supervise warehouse staff (loaders, supervisors, helpers, etc.). ?
Assign tasks and monitor performance.
Motivate and train employees to improve skills and efficiency.
3) Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate stock levels.
Implement FIFO (First In First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry First Out) systems if required.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts
4) Logistics & Coordination:
Coordinate with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams.
Ensure materials are available on time to meet sales requirements.
5) Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and statutory requirements
Maintain cleanliness and proper storage standards.
6) Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward goods.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on stock movement, shortages, and excess.
7) Process & Cost Optimization:
Optimize space utilization inside the warehouse.
Reduce wastage and handling costs.
Suggest process improvements for better efficiency.
8) Equipment & Maintenance
Ensure proper functioning of forklifts, racks, pallets, and other warehouse equipment.
Coordinate for timely repair and maintenance
Job knowledge, skills, and experience:
Skills
Leadership & people managements.
Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP.
MS Excel & reporting skills.
Strong problem-solving ability
Working Experience -
3-4 years in warehouse/inventory management (preferablyFMCG/Food industry).
