Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound, storage, inventory control, dispatch, manpower management, and compliance. The role requires strong leadership, process control, and coordination with transport, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate operations.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Manage day-to-day warehouse activities: receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch Ensure proper space utilization and layout planning for efficiency Monitor inbound and outbound material flow as per SOP Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock records (physical vs system) Conduct regular cycle counts and monthly stock audits Control stock damages, shortages, and pilferage Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices are followed Manpower & Productivity Manage warehouse supervisors, operators, loaders, and contractual staff Plan shifts, attendance, leave, and productivity targets Train staff on SOPs, safety, and quality standards Coordination & Client Handling Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch and deliveries Communicate with clients regarding stock status, dispatch plans, and issues Ensure SLA adherence and resolve operational escalations
Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory requirements, and housekeeping standards Implement fire safety, material handling safety, and 5S practices Ensure proper documentation (GRN, challans, invoices, POD, etc.) Reporting & Control Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports Track KPIs: inventory accuracy, dispatch TAT, manpower productivity, damages Support management in cost control and process improvement
Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills Good knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory control Ability to handle pressure and multi-client environments Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP / WMS preferred) Good communication and coordination skills Qualification & Experience Graduate / Diploma (Logistics, Supply Chain preferred) 5-10 years of warehouse operations experience Experience in logistics, transport, 3PL, FMCG, or manufacturing warehouses preferred
