Job description: Role: Warehouse Management-IT Assistant Manager Work Location: Bangalore, India Job Type: Permanent Function: IT Scope: Global About the role Subject Matter expert in SAP Warehouse management applications - S4H IM/ EWM / WM Relationship management: You understand the importance of effective communication and influencing skills within teams, vendors, suppliers, stakeholders, and leadership teams. Personal drive, with a track record of working to tight timelines in a challenging environment. Understands the importance of diverse cultures and values different views and perspectives. Appreciation of the challenges faced with a greenfield site, with the entrepreneurial mindset required for successful outcome. Key Responsibilities Drive the implementation and operation of the SAP Warehouse management (EWM / WM / IM ) supply chain functionality and ensure that it remains aligned to the current and future business needs in terms of functionality and operational performance. Provide input into the IT strategy for supply chain requirements and business processes. Ensure that development and operational application management services are delivered in accordance with all contractual SLAs and business expectations. Ensure adherence to the recognized industry applications management lifecycle. Responsible for requirements gathering from the business for any developments that are needed to ensure the delivery of any subsequent changes and improvements (via the IT supplier eco system). Contribute to regular performance management meetings with key business stakeholders to drive performance improvements within the IT team and the service providers. Ensure that the Warehouse management supply chain applications team is fully integrated operationally with the rest of the IT team. Establish more flexible supply chain solutions that may be readily adapted to meet the needs of changing circumstances or future business growth and expansion and using these to improve customer service. Develop, grow, and maintain effective working partnerships with vendors, suppliers and all service providers. Establish and maintain a very strong partner relationship to the directors, managers and teams across the supply chain function. Support the supply chain applications team in ensuring the team is fully integrated operationally with the rest of the IT team. Help establish more flexible supply chain solutions that may be readily adapted to meet the needs of changing circumstances or future business growth and expansion and using these to improve customer service. What are we looking for Skills & Experiences Warehouse management IT applications experience 6-8 years of supply chain management experience in equivalent organization at least one other global organisation with similar industry Working experience in warehouse process designing Strong working knowledge in S4H IM, EWM / WM Critical Success Factors for the Job Experience and understanding warehouse management processes. Hands on experience on S4Hana IM, WM and EWM modules implementation and support life-cycle and how this is used to support core business capabilities & processes for supply chain Knowledge on data set up requirements for EWM applications. Able to create Test scripts covering business scenarios. Experience on ITIL processes for incidents, service requests and problems. Articulate and good communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand way. An external lens on IT development and trends that can support the roadmap for applications. Degree in business administration or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience. Experience of working within a global organisation. Broad knowledge of IT and business context. Key Interfaces & Stakeholders Role reports to the Supply Chain IT Lead Engagement with product vendor(s) for supply chain. Engagement with supply chain functional leaders, process owners, super users. Engagement with IT Managers for IT infrastructure, Local IT, Security, Service Mgt.
