To support day-to-day warehouse operations through accurate data entry, stock handling assistance, stock audits, and inventory management tasks. The Warehouse Intern will work closely with the Warehouse Executive to maintain organized storage, assist in inbound/outbound processes, and ensure proper documentation of daily warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry & Documentation
Enter daily inward, outward, and stock movement details into the inventory system or Excel sheets, wherever needed.
Maintain accurate logs of:
o Inward stock entries
o Dispatch/packing details
o Spoilage or damaged stock
o Return stock
Assist in preparing daily/weekly warehouse reports as instructed by the Warehouse Executive.
2. Stock Management Support
Assist in receiving, counting, and organizing incoming stock.
Help in sorting, weighing, labelling, and storing products in the designated areas.
Support cold storage handling by maintaining proper segregation and recording stock movement.
Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) is followed during stock handling.
3. Stock Audit & Verification
Assist in daily physical stock verification and reconciliation with system records.
Help identify mismatches, shortages, or spoilage and report immediately to the Warehouse Executive.
Participate in weekly and monthly warehouse stock audits.
4. Inventory Management
Help maintain updated and accurate inventory records.
Assist in monitoring consumables (packing materials, labels, boxes, gloves, etc.).
Support the Warehouse Executive in planning stock requirements.
5. Warehouse Operations & Management
Assist in maintaining overall warehouse hygiene as per company SOPs.
Help in organizing racks, cleaning work areas, and ensuring proper stacking of goods.
Provide support during packing and dispatch preparation:
o Secondary packing
o SKU labelling
o Preparing dispatch boxes
Assist in preparing dispatch documentation (manifests, labels, checklists).
6. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with warehouse assistants and delivery staff for smooth operations.
Communicate daily updates or issues to the Warehouse Executive.
Support in basic logistics coordination when required.
7. Learning & Development
Participate in daily briefings conducted by the Warehouse Executive.
Learn warehouse SOPs, safety protocols, and handling procedures.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them within timelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Pursuing or completed diploma/degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field (preferred).
Basic knowledge of MS Excel or inventory tools.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn warehouse operations and work flexible timings.
