1. Inventory & Stock Management Maintain accurate stock records of all SKUs (e.g., switches, sockets, MCBs, lights, cables). Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods as per company procedures. Ensure bin location mapping so each item can be quickly located. Conduct daily/weekly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Monitor stock aging and coordinate with the sales team to push slow-moving items. Track minimum and reorder levels for each product category to avoid stockouts or overstocking. --- 2. Receiving & Quality Checks Verify supplier invoices with Purchase Orders during receiving. Inspect incoming items for damage, quality, and correct specifications. Coordinate with Purchase/Accounts for GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entry in the system. Ensure proper labelling/barcoding for easy identification. --- 3. Storage & Stacking Implement category-wise storage (e.g., lights in racks, cables in coils, switches in bins). Maintain FIFO/FEFO (First In First Out / First Expiry First Out) for time-sensitive electrical products. Ensure safe stacking to prevent damage to fragile items like glass lights or panels. Maintain aisle clearance and safety standards. --- 4. Order Processing & Dispatch Receive picking lists from the sales or ERP system. Allocate staff to pick, pack, and dispatch as per priority. Double-check correct items, quantity, and condition before dispatch. Coordinate with transporters/logistics for on-time delivery. --- 5. Team Supervision & Coordination Supervise warehouse staff (pickers, loaders, data entry operators). Assign daily work schedules and monitor performance. Train team members on safety, inventory handling, and ERP usage. Ensure proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn by staff. --- 6. Systems & Documentation Maintain all warehouse records in ERP/inventory software. Ensure timely updating of stock movements (inward, outward, returns). Prepare daily stock and dispatch reports for management. Coordinate with accounts for stock valuation and audit requirements. --- 7. Safety, Security & Compliance Maintain fire safety equipment and follow electrical goods storage guidelines. Prevent theft/pilferage by implementing CCTV monitoring and stock checks. Ensure safe storage of high-value items in secure zones. Follow government norms for electrical goods handling (if applicable). --- 8. Coordination with Other Departments Work closely with Purchase for timely replenishment. Update Sales on available stock and shortages. Inform Accounts of damaged/obsolete stock for write-off. Liaise with Service/After-Sales for warranty returns or replacements.
