Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies.
Update stock levels in ERP or inventory management systems.
Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
2. Receiving & Dispatch
Supervise unloading of incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against invoices or delivery notes.
Prepare dispatch orders and coordinate timely delivery of goods.
Maintain documentation for all inward and outward stock movements.
3. Warehouse Operations
Organize storage layout for optimal space utilization.
Monitor daily warehouse activities and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) systems where applicable.
4. Coordination
Liaise with the procurement, sales, and logistics teams for stock availability and dispatch schedules.
Coordinate with transporters for timely loading/unloading and shipment tracking.
5. Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Oversee proper handling of materials to prevent accidents or product damage.
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in warehouse/godown operations or inventory management.
Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (ERP).
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of inventory control methods and logistics processes.
