Key responsibilities

Warehouse operations:

Oversee all daily activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Inventory management:

Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies.

Staff management:

Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures.

Logistics coordination:

Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery and smooth flow of materials.

Safety and compliance:

Enforce health, safety, and security protocols, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Process improvement:

Identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and optimize warehouse layout and procedures.

Reporting:

Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Required qualifications and skills

Experience:

Prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.

Technical skills:

Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and MS Office is often required.

Soft skills:

Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Leadership skills:

Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

Analytical skills:

Good analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Certifications:

A forklift certification is often a plus.
