Role of a Distribution Manager:

The Distribution Manager oversees the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. They play a critical role in supply chain operations by coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and ensuring cost-effective and accurate distribution across all channels.

1. Distribution Planning & Strategy:

Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery.

Optimize routing and transportation methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

2. Inventory & Stock Management:

Monitor stock levels across warehouses and branches.

Coordinate replenishment and manage safety stock to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

3. Team & Branch Coordination:

Supervise and coordinate with distribution staff and field sales teams.

Provide support to branch operations related to billing, stock issues, and customer requirements.

4. Logistics & Dispatch Management:

Oversee daily dispatch operations and ensure accurate order fulfilment.

Liaise with logistics partners and transporters for smooth goods movement.

5. System & Process Oversight:

Ensure timely updates of stock and order data in the system.

Manage online ordering platforms and ensure alignment with physical inventory.

6. Payment & Documentation Control:

Track payment statuses, credit notes, and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain proper records of billing, dispatches, and returns.

7. Reporting & Analytics:

Generate regular sales, dispatch, and outstanding reports.

Analyze data to improve forecasting and operational efficiency.

8. Compliance & Quality Control:

Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

o Monitor expiry dates and coordinate the disposal of expired or damaged products.

9. Customer Service & Issue Resolution:

Address distribution-related complaints and resolve issues promptly.

Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients

Pay: From ?24,040.53 per month
