*Job Title: Ward Nurse (ENT Hospital)

*Reports to: IP Manager

*Location: Micro care ENT hospitals, KPHB

Job Type: Full-time

*Job Summary:

The Ward Nurse in an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) hospital is a crucial member of the clinical team. They provide direct patient care, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative care for patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

Provide direct and compassionate nursing care to patients admitted to the ward. This includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Specialized Care:

Manage and care for patients with specific ENT-related conditions, such as post-tonsillectomy care, nasal surgeries, or ear infections. This includes observing for specific complications like bleeding or airway issues.

Pre- and Post-operative Care:

Prepare patients for surgical procedures by completing pre-operative checklists, and provide specialized post-operative care, including managing pain, monitoring for signs of infection, and educating patients on their recovery plan.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing notes, medication administration records, and care plans.

Patient and Family Education

: Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plans, and self-care instructions for when they are discharged.

Collaboration

: Work closely with ENT doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective treatment plan for each patient.

Emergency Response:

Respond quickly and effectively to any medical emergencies or changes in a patient's condition.

Qualifications

Education

: A valid nursing degree (e.g., B.Sc. in Nursing, GNM).

License

: Must hold a current and valid nursing licens from government of Telangana.

Experience

: Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Experience in an ENT, surgical, or medical-surgical ward is a significant advantage.

Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
