Job Description

The Ward Boy / Ward Girl is responsible for assisting nursing and medical staff in ensuring patients receive basic care and comfort. The role involves maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the ward, supporting patient mobility, and providing assistance during medical and nursing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with daily care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Help in transferring or shifting patients to diagnostic areas, operating theatres, or other wards. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness in patient rooms and wards. Support nurses and doctors by arranging and delivering required equipment, instruments, and materials. Handle and transport medical specimens, reports, and medications as instructed. Manage collection and disposal of biomedical and non-medical waste per hospital protocols. Ensure that beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, and other ward equipment are clean and ready for use. Provide compassionate assistance and comfort to patients and their attendants. Observe and promptly report any unusual patient behavior or needs to nursing staff. Assist in maintaining linen inventory and other ward supplies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum

10th Standard (SSLC)

or equivalent. Previous experience in hospital or patient care support preferred. Basic understanding of hygiene, patient handling, and safety practices.

Skills & Attributes:

Kind, patient, and service-oriented attitude. Physical stamina and ability to assist in patient handling. Good teamwork and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain confidentiality. Punctual, disciplined, and reliable.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
