Job Summary

The Ward Boy supports nursing staff in providing basic patient care, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital ward.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and toileting as instructed by nursing staff Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of wards, beds, and patient areas Transport patients for tests, procedures, and between departments Deliver samples, reports, medicines, and medical supplies within the hospital Assist nurses during procedures when required Change bed linen and ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste Follow hospital infection control and safety guidelines Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum education: 8th / 10th pass (as per hospital policy) Ability to read and understand basic instructions Physically fit and able to lift/move patients Basic knowledge of hospital hygiene and safety practices Good communication and cooperative attitude

Experience

Fresher or prior hospital experience preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹16,000.00 per month
