Ward Boy

Job Summary:

The Ward Boy is responsible for assisting patients and nursing staff in daily ward activities, ensuring cleanliness, patient comfort, and timely support. The role also includes

preparing patients for procedures, tests, and shifting

as instructed by medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with movement, including shifting patients between ward, OT, ICU, scan rooms, and other departments Help in

preparation of patients

for procedures, investigations, surgeries, and examinations (shaving, changing dress, shifting, basic instructions, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of wards, beds, patient areas, and equipment Support nurses and doctors in routine ward activities Transport medical records, samples, and medicines as required Assist patients with basic needs such as food, water, toileting, and comfort Ensure proper handling of patients with care and dignity Follow hospital infection control and safety protocols Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency requirements Ensure wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys are clean and ready for use Wear hospital uniform and ID card at all times during duty

Qualification & Skills:

Minimum basic education (able to read and understand instructions) Prior hospital experience preferred but

freshers can also apply

Physically fit and able to handle patient movement Polite, caring, and responsible attitude Willingness to work in shifts

Experience:

0-2 years experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred

Salary:

As per hospital norms

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
