Position Title:

Ward Boy / Hospital Attendant

Inpatient Wards / General Ward / ICU

Reports To:

Ward In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent

Job Purpose:

To assist nursing and medical staff in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and patient care support in hospital wards, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in shifting and positioning patients on beds and stretchers. Transport patients to diagnostic rooms, operation theatres, or discharge areas. Maintain cleanliness in patient areas, including beds, furniture, and surroundings. Help patients with activities like using the toilet, bathing, and feeding (if required). Dispose of waste, soiled linens, and biomedical waste as per hospital protocol. Deliver medicines, lab samples, reports, and equipment to relevant departments. Support in emergency situations such as transferring patients or providing basic first aid assistance. Follow instructions from nurses and ward in-charges for daily routines. Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times. Ensure proper hygiene and wear uniform as per hospital standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 10th pass preferred (not mandatory for experienced candidates) Prior experience in hospital or healthcare facility preferred Physically fit, disciplined, and willing to work rotational shifts Basic knowledge of patient care and hygiene
