Job Description

The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching subjects such as

History, Geography, Civics, and Environmental Studies

, helping students understand society, culture, and the world around them. The teacher will create an engaging, inclusive, and values-based learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver

age-appropriate Social Studies lessons

as per the prescribed curriculum Explain concepts clearly using

stories, maps, charts, activities, and discussions

Develop worksheets, lesson plans, assessments, and projects Encourage

critical thinking, curiosity, and awareness of social responsibility

Integrate current events, moral values, and life skills into lessons Assess and evaluate students' academic progress regularly Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and progress reports Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment Participate in school activities, assemblies, events, and meetings Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and improvement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Social Studies / History / Geography / Education

B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred) Experience teaching at primary or middle school level (preferred) Good command of

English

(and regional language, if required)
