Roles & responsibilities
1. Nursing Administration Oversee daily nursing operations across all units, wards, and departments Ensure appropriate nurse-patient ratios are maintained at all times Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and SOPs
2. Staff Management Supervise Nursing Supervisors, Staff Nurses, and Nursing Assistants Monitor duty rosters, shift schedules, and leave management Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs
3. Patient Care & Quality Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and infection control Address patient or family concerns related to nursing services Coordinate with the Quality Department for NABH/NABL compliance
4. Training & Development Organize induction and in-service training programs for nursing staff Promote continuous learning and professional development among nurses
5. Coordination & Reporting Liaise with Medical Officers, Department Heads, and Administration for smooth hospital functioning Prepare regular nursing reports for management review
6. Discipline & Professional Conduct Enforce discipline, punctuality, and ethical nursing practices Take corrective actions in case of misconduct or negligence
Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities In-depth knowledge of hospital protocols and nursing standards Crisis management and decision-making abilities
Desired candidate profile
Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
Holds a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and any necessary certifications for the region.
Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of progressive nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Has experience working within a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with experience in a similar setting.
Exhibits strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Displays excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.
Demonstrates physical stamina and the ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced healthcare environment.
