Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Housekeeping Staff:



Lead, manage, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure efficient performance.

Assign tasks to team members based on priority and hospital needs.

Monitor and ensure proper adherence to cleaning schedules, sanitation standards, and infection control practices.

Conduct training and development programs for housekeeping staff to maintain high cleaning standards.

Ensure that housekeeping staff wear appropriate uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as per hospital guidelines.

Cleaning & Maintenance:



Oversee cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, bathrooms, waiting areas, and public spaces.

Ensure the cleanliness of high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, handrails, and elevators, to prevent the spread of infections.

Manage the cleanliness of waste disposal areas, handling hazardous waste as per medical protocols.

Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of hospital floors, ceilings, windows, and walls.

Inventory & Supplies Management:



Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and products.

Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to ensure continuous availability of necessary materials.

Ensure proper storage and safe handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.

Health & Safety Compliance:



Ensure that housekeeping staff follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.

Implement hospital policies on sanitation and cleanliness, adhering to relevant laws, guidelines, and hospital standards.

Report any hazards, damages, or safety violations to the relevant department for corrective actions.

Reporting & Documentation:



Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on housekeeping activities and cleaning progress.

Maintain logs of cleaning schedules, maintenance requests, and inventory updates.

Coordinate with the hospital administration for performance evaluations and to address operational issues.

Collaboration:



Work closely with hospital management, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Assist in coordinating special cleaning operations as required (e.g., during emergencies, outbreaks, or patient discharge).

Key Requirements:

Education:



Any degree or relevant qualification in housekeeping, hospital administration, or related field.

Experience:



Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in a reputed hospital or healthcare facility.

Prior experience managing a team of housekeeping staff in a hospital environment is highly desirable.

Flexibility to work day and night shifts as required by the hospital.

Ability to work well under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of handling and disposing of hazardous waste safely.
