Job Description

Diagnosis and Treatment of Reproductive Health Issues

Diagnose and treat disorders related to the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and breasts. Manage menstrual disorders, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and pelvic pain.

Prenatal and Postnatal Care

Monitor and manage the health of pregnant women. Conduct regular checkups, ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring. Provide postnatal care to ensure both mother and baby are healthy.

Conducting Deliveries

Perform normal and cesarean deliveries. Handle high-risk pregnancies and delivery complications.

Family Planning and Contraceptive Counseling

Advise on birth control methods and family planning. Perform procedures like IUD insertions and tubal ligation.

Screenings and Preventive Care

Conduct Pap smears, breast exams, and HPV tests. Monitor for signs of cervical, ovarian, and breast cancer.

Surgical Procedures

Perform surgeries such as hysterectomy, laparoscopy, ovarian cyst removal, and D&C (dilation and curettage). Treat fibroids, prolapse, and other gynecological conditions surgically if required.

Fertility and Reproductive Assistance

Diagnose and treat infertility. Collaborate with reproductive endocrinologists for IVF or other assisted reproductive technologies.

Menopausal and Hormonal Disorder Management

Guide and support women through menopause. Manage symptoms and hormonal imbalances with therapy or medication.

Patient Education and Emotional Support

Educate patients on reproductive health, hygiene, and healthy practices. Provide emotional support and counseling, especially in sensitive situations like miscarriages or infertility.

Medical Equipment

: Ultrasound, colposcope, hysteroscope, laparoscope.

Tests & Screenings

: Pap smear, mammogram, hormone level testing.

Medications

: Hormonal therapies, contraceptives, antibiotics for infections.
