Job Description

Operate and monitor laser cutting, engraving, or welding machines as per production requirements. Adjust machine settings for speed, power, and focus based on material type and thickness. Load and unload raw materials (such as metal sheets, acrylic, wood, etc.) onto the machine. Ensure proper alignment and secure placement of materials before processing. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Input or modify programs in the CNC laser system for precise cutting/engraving. Perform machine setup and calibration before production runs. Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, dimensions, and surface finish meet quality standards. Make adjustments to machine settings when required. Identify and report defects or irregularities in materials and outputs. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of the laser machine, lenses, and filters. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical or software issues. Report major maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance team. Follow all safety protocols while operating laser equipment. Wear appropriate PPE (goggles, gloves, masks, etc.) to prevent accidents. Comply with company and industry safety standards and guidelines. Maintain records of daily production, machine performance, and material usage. Assist in maintaining inventory of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other operators to achieve production goals. Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
