Role Overview
As part of a transformation-focused delivery engagement, the QA Engineer will be responsible for strengthening automation maturity, execution assurance, and release readiness.
This role is central to validating system behavior, stability, and performance through structured, end-to-end testing aligned to program goals and business outcomes.
A strong command over Selenium automation, API automation, Core Java, and SQL is essential. You will be expected to design automation frameworks, support quality governance, and ensure testing is executed with traceability, discipline, and alignment to client's delivery principles.
Key aspects of the role include:
Designing and developing BDD frameworks from scratch
Contributing to CI/CD and Continuous Testing pipeline configuration
Providing effort estimates, planning inputs, and structured documentation aligned with PMC governance
Executing functional, integration, and end-to-end testing (automation + limited manual)
Managing test assets in Test Management tools such as Jira or VersionOne
Applying domain understanding of healthcare business processes to improve coverage, readiness, and risk identification
Required Experience & Skills
Core Technical Expertise
Strong automation experience with Selenium WebDriver
Strong API automation experience
Advanced Core Java programming skills
Experience in building BDD frameworks from scratch (e.g., Cucumber)
Strong experience with TestNG and XPath
Ability to write complex SQL queries; strong SQL coding skills
Experience working with Git and version control practices
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and CT pipeline configuration
Experience with hardware and software testing tools
Balanced experience in both automation and manual testing
Domain & Delivery Skills
Understanding of healthcare business processes (advantageous)
Strong grounding in structured testing methodologies and release processes
Ability to provide estimates, test planning inputs, and coverage assessments
Experience storing and organizing test artifacts in Test Management tools (e.g., Jira, VersionOne, AIO Tests)
Strong analytical skills for defect governance, RCA, and traceability
Client Expectations (Integrated)
Very strong QA automation background with deep expertise in:
Java
Selenium
API automation
Strong SQL coding capability
Experience with TestNG and XPath
Exposure to healthcare is a plus
Limited manual testing experience (required for specific validations)
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end automation and manual testing activities across defined milestones
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java, Selenium, API testing tools, and BDD frameworks
Build reusable BDD frameworks from scratch and enhance existing automation suites
Execute database validations using strong SQL skills, including complex queries
Collaborate with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align test outcomes with business expectations
Configure and support CI/CD and CT pipelines
Conduct hardware and software testing to ensure complete system readiness
Support defect governance, root cause analysis, and closure tracking.
Ensure testing documentation, traceability, and evidence are complete for audit, compliance, and program transparency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Equivalent education and experience combinations will also be considered
Certifications in software testing, automation, or QA practices are beneficial (optional)
