Key Responsibilities
Set up tables according to company standards, ensuring all cutlery, plates, napkins, and condiments are placed correctly before each service.
Clean and reset tables promptly after guests leave, and maintain the overall tidiness of the dining area, including sweeping floors and arranging chairs.
Greet guests warmly as a host; manage waiting lists, guide customers to their seats, and provide menus.
Take and serve orders efficiently, addressing guest queries about the menu and assisting with recommendations as needed.
Operate the billing system or POS terminal, accurately generate bills, process payments (cash/card), and handle receipts as the biller.
Handle guest feedback or complaints professionally, ensuring immediate resolution or escalation as required.
Support other staff by cross-training in multiple positions, helping during peak hours or when staff coverage is low, to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
Follow hygiene and safety protocols at all times, including handwashing, wearing proper attire, and keeping the service environment clean.
