As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service in the hotel's restaurant/outlet, ensuring guest satisfaction by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating.
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. portions, ingredients, allergies).
Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
Ensure tables are properly set up and maintained during the meal.
Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and inform the manager when needed.
Process billing and payment accurately.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas.
Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth operations.
Upsell additional products (e.g. beverages, desserts) when appropriate.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service (preferred but not always required).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Formal hospitality training or certifications (advantageous).
Work Environment:
Indoor hotel restaurant or dining outlet.
May be required to work long hours and shifts based on hotel occupancy.
