Key Responsibilities

Set up VTL machines, select and install required tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.? Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets to determine setup, operation sequence, and tolerances.? Adjust machine controls and tool settings to meet specified dimensions and tolerances.? Perform trial runs, fine-tune parameters, and verify setups before starting production.? Operate VTL machines for roughing, finishing, boring, threading, and profiling operations.? Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and record results.? Troubleshoot minor machine and process problems, report major issues to maintenance/supervisor.? Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep machines, tools, and the work area clean and organized.? Document setup parameters, production data, and inspection records as required.? Follow workplace safety standards and company protocols at all times.?
Required Skills and Qualifications

2-4 years of experience as a VTL Setter and Operator in a manufacturing or machining environment.? Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.? Knowledge of tool types, cutting parameters, and setup procedures for VTL machines.? Skilled in using measurement tools for dimensional and visual inspection.? Basic understanding of CNC programming and manual edits (G-code, M-code) is desirable.? Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality orientation.? Technical training/certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or related fields preferred (ITI, Diploma, etc.).?
