High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining preferred.
3+ years of experience
operating CNC VTL machines.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
Strong understanding of metal cutting theory, tool geometry, and machining practices.
Experience working with large-diameter or heavy workpieces (e.g., up to several feet in diameter).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Fanuc, controls.
Familiarity with CAM software such as Mastercam.
Experience with boring mills, vertical turning centers, horizontal turning centers, or other large-format CNC machines.
Knowledge of materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys.
Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
