Job Purpose: To establish an intelligence network across the organization to gather strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence related to business operations and assets. Analyze collected intelligence using analytical frameworks to provide actionable insights for mitigating risks and protecting organizational interests
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
VSH Emerging BU Head & AEL Assets
Open Source Intelligence Management:
Monitor union activities and social media accounts for potential threats.
Regularly track local newspapers and social media for information impacting business interests.
Detect and address social media campaigns maligning the business image.
Develop Intelligence Network:
Develop and maintain sources for financial crime intelligence and information networking:
Foster relationships with business units and functions to ensure awareness and monitor fraudulent practices.
Establish sources in nearby villages and communities to gather intelligence on activities against the organization.
Build and sustain sources within unions to receive timely updates on union-related activities impacting the organization or surrounding areas.
Liaise with local police for support during crises, complaint registrations, and FIRs.
Intelligence Management:
Gather proactive intelligence to prevent crimes or disruptive union activities.
Collect and share information with field teams and operations teams to mitigate risks effectively.
Maintain a detailed register of gathered intelligence for documentation and analysis.
Analyze gathered intelligence and disseminate actionable insights to management.
Evaluate workers' data based on religion and region and provide reports to management for awareness.
Reports and Dossiers:
Create and maintain dossiers on union leaders, anti-organization individuals, and other risks.
Maintain detailed village profiles and track criminal cases relevant to the organization.
Generate monthly MIS reports and crime data analytics for management review.
I & V Fund Monitoring:
Distribute stipends and gifts to informers while ensuring proper fund usage.
Liaison with Government Agencies: Collaborate with police, Central IB, State IB, and Coast Guard for intelligence sharing and organizational support.
Data Analysis:
Analyze organizational data to identify system gaps and improvement opportunities.
Detect manipulations in data and propose corrective measures.
Vigilance and Investigation:
Conduct fraud investigations, prepare reports, and recommend actions.
Track and resolve theft and fraud cases based on intelligence inputs.
Crisis and Incident Management:
Provide actionable intelligence for effective crisis management.
Support operational teams in mitigating risks during incidents.
Training and Development:
Conduct functional training programs for I&V personnel to enhance capabilities.
Develop sources and intelligence networks to strengthen organizational vigilance.

Responsibilities:
Strategy and Initiatives:
- Partner with the Corporate Security team to develop group-wide security strategies and design a strategic roadmap for the business unit.
- Drive implementation of strategic initiatives at the site level, ensuring alignment with business goals and security requirements.
- Contribute to the development and execution of Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to counter risks and threats effectively.
- Security Budgeting: Review and approve annual security budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) and monitor expenditures. Address budgetary variances by coordinating with site and business leadership.
Security Governance and Policies:
- Design and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard assets, including people, infrastructure, and information.
- Conduct quarterly reviews to update and refine policies based on evolving business and risk landscapes.
Security Governance and Operations
- Conduct monthly reviews of security performance with Site Security Heads, tracking critical projects and initiatives.
- Participate in governance council meetings to share insights and address pressing issues.
Security Operations:
- Oversee site-level operations, including surveillance, access control, traffic management, and control room activities.
- Drive process improvements to enhance business readiness and operational efficiency.
Investigation and Due Diligence:
- Drive investigations of security incidents, including fraud and crimes, and implement remedial measures. Share critical incident investigation reports with business unit leadership.
- Security Risk and Crisis Management: Oversee security risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and prioritize mitigation actions.
- Facilitate internal and third-party security audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
Crisis Planning and Response:
- Develop and maintain crisis management and emergency response plans to enhance business resilience.
- Lead incident response efforts and revise plans based on key learnings.
Intelligence and Vigilance:
- Build intelligence-gathering capabilities and foster relationships with law enforcement and government agencies.
- Proactively monitor and address emerging security risks.
Asset Protection
- Provide strategic direction for protecting tangible and intangible assets across business units.
- Oversee execution of security events and ensure alignment with annual security plans.
Managing Manpower Management
- Define manpower requirements and monitor compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs and internal benchmarks.
- Performance Improvement: Define and track KPIs for evaluating business security performance.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to address gaps and enhance operational efficiency.
People Management
- Foster a performance-driven culture by setting goals, reviewing performance, and providing feedback.
- Drive training and talent development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and ensure functional excellence.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree (higher degree in a relevant field preferred).
Preferable background from military.
Certification:
Professional certifications like CPP (Certified Protection Professional), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or Industrial Security Certifications are advantageous.
Work Experience (Range of years):
Minimum of 15 years in the security field, with 5+ years in intelligence and vigilance roles.
Knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
