The Role / Responsibilities:
The VP \xe2\x80\x93 Investor Relations is part of the team that represents Moody\xe2\x80\x99s business performance and prospects to the investment community. This role has substantial contact with current and potential shareholders and bondholders, equity research analysts and Moody\xe2\x80\x99s senior management, and will gain exposure to all areas of Moody\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Coordinate with various internal groups to gather relevant financial, issuance and macroeconomic analysis and commentary in support of informal and formal investor communications, including for Moody\xe2\x80\x99s quarterly earnings calls and investor presentations, as well as our annual Investor Day.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on Moody\xe2\x80\x99s and its lines of business, debt issuance and market activities through review of internal and external sources, discussions with management and other employees.
  • Contribute to the production of IR-related material presented to Moody\xe2\x80\x99s Board of Directors.
  • Gather, analyze and recommend IR best practices for potential implementation at Moody\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Serve as an IR contact for select bondholders and/or shareholders (as appropriate) and partner with senior management to meet with investors as needed.
  • Assist with development of processes to interact with (1) fixed income investors and (2) ESG rating firms on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage and mentor other members of the IR team on a project basis.

  • MBA, CPA or advanced degree in finance preferred; BA/BS degree required.
  • At least 8 years of business experience, with demonstrated expertise in a finance function or analytical and communications experience within the equity research sector covering global stock \xe2\x80\x93 including, for example Moody\xe2\x80\x99s Corporation (MCO.NYSE).
  • Excellent quantitative and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and manage workstreams across various levels, departments and geographies.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Professional demeanor and integrity. Must be able to manage highly sensitive information in confidence and with discretion.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets and SaaS applications companies, along with cloud infrastructure players
  • Strong PC skills, especially MS Powerpoint, Excel, Power BI and ability to adapt to other technologies as required.
