Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven senior sales leader with strong expertise in market research, competitive intelligence, and business development in the domain of Managed Global Capability Centers (GCCs) for HR and Payroll services. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying whitespace opportunities, shaping GTM strategies, and driving Zalaris' expansion through data-backed insights and strategic customer targeting across Europe, the UK, and APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Intelligence

  • Analyze market trends, industry shifts, and competitive landscape in the Managed GCC and HR/Payroll outsourcing space.
  • Map target segments (mid-market to enterprise) by region, industry vertical, and maturity of shared services/GCC evolution.
  • Evaluate customer pain points and unmet needs using primary and secondary research methods.
  • Identify greenfield opportunities and market adjacencies for Zalaris' HR & Payroll Managed GCC services.
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Development
  • Collaborate with the sales team to define ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and refine messaging for industry segments.
  • Work closely with pre-sales and marketing to localize offerings, whitepapers, and solution themes.
  • Track industry events, forums, and analyst briefings to generate leads and expand visibility.
Client Engagement & Value Propositioning
  • Support consultative sales pitches with data-driven insights, business cases, and benchmarking.
  • Engage with CXOs and Shared Services/GCC leaders to evangelize Zalaris' unique model (Managed GCC as-a-Service, TUPE-based rebadging, AI-driven payroll transformation, etc.)
  • Translate buyer personas and regional nuances into GTM refinements (especially German, Nordic, and UK markets).
Competitive Positioning & Enablement
  • Benchmark Zalaris' offerings against ADP, SD Worx, TCS, Infosys, Deel, and other regional/global players.
  • Build intelligence decks and sales playbooks for internal teams.
  • Shape a continuous feedback loop between market trends and product/solution roadmap.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must-Have:
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, market research, or business development in BPO, HR Tech, or Managed Services.
  • Prior exposure to Managed GCC, Shared Services, or HRO/Payroll outsourcing domains.
  • Experience working with European, UK, or APAC clients and understanding regional regulatory/operational nuances.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into pipeline opportunities and strategic plays.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with tools like Gartner, Forrester, IDC, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Exposure to HR tech platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Zalaris PeopleHub is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presence; able to work cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and delivery.
