Role Summary/Purpose:

Quality Engineering Leader at Synchrony would play a pivotal role in delivering high quality products in a timely manner to improve customer journeys at an optimal cost. The individual would lead a geographically diverse, highly competent quality engineering team and collaborate with cross functional teams such a Engineering, Office of Agile, and Application Security among others. This position would require expertise in establishing and maintaining quality standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of quality engineers focused on automated testing, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsible for ingraining quality as a core discipline into every aspect of software development lifecycle.

Responsible for design, implementation and enhancements of testing frameworks and tools with an emphasis on test automation, continuous integration and delivery.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate quality processes into all stages of software development life cycle from requirements to post release support.

Utilise data driven insights to monitor quality indicators, track trends and proactively resolve any potential risks/issues.

Establish and maintain policies, procedures and standards across all stages of software development lifecycle.

Identify process optimisation opportunities and lead continuous improvement programs to improve product quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Facilitate adoption of shift left testing practices like BDD/TDD across the organisation.

Design and deliver an enterprise-wide Test Data Management Solution

Effective oversight and collaboration with the supplier teams to ensure effective deployment and enhancements of quality standards.

Partner closely with the Technology Risk Management (TRM) team to prepare and support internal and external audits

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Knowledge

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with minimum of 12+ years of either Technology, Quality Assurance or Process Management experience or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/G.E.D. with minimum of 14+ years of either Technology, Quality Assurance or Process Management experience

Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high performing quality engineering teams.

Solid understanding of software development, Agile and SAFe methodologies with associated tools

Strong experience of developing, testing and deploying applications in cloud.

Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools e.g. Jenkins, Cloud bees etc.

Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong program management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet timelines.

Desired Characteristics:

Demonstrate ability to driving improvements across complex organisations and processes of varying levels of maturity

Proficiency in regulatory expectations such as FFIEC, NIST

Experience working with industry frameworks such as CobIT, ITIL

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with minimum of 12+ years of either Technology, Quality Assurance or Process Management experience or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/G.E.D. with minimum of 14+ years of either Technology, Quality Assurance or Process Management experience
