We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, \'anchor\', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction The role will be responsible for supporting design, rollout and evolution of Model Risk Frameworks that incorporate supervisory expectations and industry best practices to ensure a sustained best-in-class approach to Model Risk Management. This includes legal entity supervisory expectations of model risk management with regards to stress testing and BAU models, model risk appetite, and model risk reporting. As part of this responsibility, leading engagement/communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Model Ownership Areas, Quantitative Analytics Teams, Validation Teams, Regulators and Auditors) will be a paramount to ensure the frameworks and their codification into Policy and Standards are well designed, understood and appropriately integrated into the broader Barclays control framework. The role is further tasked with developing model risk framework training for the Independent Validation Unit (IVU) as well as enterprise-wide training ensuring that the model risk framework is wellunderstood and consistently applied. The position interacts extensively with model risk governance in each business unit. The position is responsible for incorporating feedback from the business and key stakeholders as it impacts the Model Risk Framework. What will you be doing Supporting, through maintenance and development, a best-in-class model risk management framework that aligns and complies with industry guidance and supervisory expectations; Developing training materials and communicating with individuals subject to the frameworks to ensure the scope of the frameworks and resultant codification in policies and standards is clear to all constituents; Staying abreast of new supervisory guidance on model risk; conducting gap analysis to identify areas of policy improvement and driving timely remediation; Assisting business areas with answers to framework compliance questions; Act as an ambassador for the Model Risk Management program, ensuring that the model risk framework is communicated in a simple, clear and concise way throughout the firm; Building and maintaining effective two-way relationships with other risk practices, finance and the business, to understand 1st line of defence feedback and also to ensure that frameworks are understood and embedded; Sharing best practices and generic issues with stakeholders and providing training to enable compliance; Feeding into presentations to legal entity risk committees and other relevant forums; Interacting with Barclays Internal Audit and regulators and driving remediation actions to resolution as needed What We\'re Looking For Conceptual thinking - Ability to think strategically Relationship Management: Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority, as well as influencing and communication skills, including presentation to senior audience Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with both technical and non-technical audiences Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority, influencing, communication skills Proven presentation skills across smaller and larger audience groups Planning and Organisation: Ability to track projects and actions to completion, and report on progress to various levels of seniority within Barclays Ability to prioritise work in order to maximise value for the business, ability to deliver quickly and under pressure is essential. PC skills - Competence in the use of Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio. Team working - Ability to work with and in cross-functional and virtual teams across locations. Demonstrable track record of strong team work and delivery, within and across departmental teams.
