Title: VP-Manufacturing
Location: Ahemdabad
Role Objective
The objective of this job role is to provide strategic leadership and vision to the manufacturing operations of the Organisation. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Create Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to support the strategic direction. Develop SOP to ensure maximum capacity utilization for overall productivity. Plan and forecast resources for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce to ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity to ensure support business goals. Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing goal setting and performance management across plants. Employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction and manage marketing initiatives.
Lead all Plant operations and expansion projects in the future. Work closely with the Plant heads in order to optimise efficiencies and continuously improve on product delivery. Develop and incorporates solid operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into all manufacturing processes. Analyse financial and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * To lead the team of manufacturing plants across multiple locations and ensure stable and profitable manufacturing activities

• Responsible for all Plant operations and expansion projects in the future. Shall work closely with the Plant heads in order to optimize efficiencies and continuously improve on product delivery
• To Develop and establish operating policies consistent with the management's broad policies and objectives and ensures their adequate execution.
• To participates in the development and promotion of short-term and long range plans and budgets. Strong focus on cost efficiencies and other critical ratios from an overall business efficiencies perspectives
• To upgrade equipment and machinery at plants after requite capital expense approvals
• Take Charge in High-Priority crisis.
• Establish the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for team to achieve higher productivities, and capacity utilizations.
• To get feedback from customers on quality of products and initiate necessary measures for further improvement. To assist sales team in providing technical support / trouble shooting support to OEM customers.
• To oversee implementation of quality management systems / EH&S
• Direct and participate in capacity enhancement and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans.
• Ensuring that compliance requirements (regulatory, statutory and legal) and Company policies are understood, implemented and monitored at all sites. Ensure safety of plants, personnel and environment.

• OPERATION:
• To Direct, Administer, and coordinate the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives. Ensure timely delivery of finished goods as per business plans. Ensure all sites meets it's budgeted manufacturing targets through optimum utilization of committed resources.
• Implement standardized operational procedures to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• To Appraise and evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and report these results to the Management. Initiate measures for augmenting production and productivity of plants.
• To provide technical and managerial guidance to such third party vendors
• To upgrade equipment and machinery at plants after requite capital expense approvals
• Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints in the shortest possible time
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production costs without compromising on quality and safety.
• Align operations with other organization functions like Marketing, Back Office, Finance, HR etc.

MANUFACTURING

• To integrate latest manufacturing technology and best practices from within the company and from other sources leading to optimizing manufacturing cost.
• To make short and long term plans for manufacturing and allot loading to plants.
• Ability to handle scale / large no. of SKUs & process + batch manufacturing.
• To initiate measures for reducing manufacturing costs for competitive advantage
• Responsible to design and execute productivity enhancement & quality improvement programs
• Responsible to analyze, monitor and control finished product rejection through concrete plan of action at shop floor
• Creating excellence by implementing 5S, KAIZEN, LEAN Manufacturing amongst the group.

ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE
Accountable to maintain overall plants including all equipment, machineries at highest level with the proper preventive maintenance plan execution through maintenance in-charge.
TEAM LEADERSHIP:

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for professional development.
• Experience:

18-20 years in large scale / medium scale Packaging or related Industry. Candidate should have managed scale complexity, volume stress, speed & agility. Should have experience in process and batch manufacturing. Should be experienced in handling customers and B2B audits
