About the Team & Business Line:

Under the direction of Finance Leadership Team the VP of Process Optimization will be responsible for helping lead, design, roll out and support of a process improvement framework globally. This will include establishing Finance Innovation Program ,which will include designing training programs, implementing project frameworks, guiding and coaching both direct reports and business users. The individual will also be responsible to drive process improvement projects. They will also manage a team of processes analysts that will be responsible for facilitating workshops, documenting workflows where required, identifying areas for process improvement and partnering with function leads in implementing improvement projects. This role will include process improvement (Lean Six Sigma, BPM), project management, team management as well as hands on process analysis.

Your Role:

  • Build training framework for Front line staff to Executives
  • Establish and roll out Process Optimization Framework across all finance groups
  • Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, timeline, cost, resources, and risk with business requirements and quality expectations. Manage all phases of projects through the DMAIC framework / other relevant methodology
  • Engage project stakeholders to ensure buy-in and project success
  • Track project timelines and efficiencies/results to identify and escalate challenges, developing contingency plans where needed
  • Think strategically to develop new and creative ways to approach solutions that successfully influence project outcomes
  • Help guide, mentor and coach direct reports as well as business
  • Create as-is process documentation using BPM tools, applying knowledge of business process modelling notations (BPMN, EPC, BPEL)
  • Assist Business in arriving at to-be process documentation and Level 4 details
  • Lead process discovery and redesign workshops
  • Recommend improvements or modifications to existing processes
  • Identify new process opportunities and accurately analyse and estimate new processes, feasibility and business value
  • Assist in managing process change
  • Educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes in process improvement
  • Work within project planning constraints, escalating any identified project risks and issues to management accordingly
  • Identify baseline effort expended on current tasks versus proposed improvements to assist in making business case for implementing change
  • Able to simplify and explain complex topics
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Project Management experience of 7+ years at a senior level with a focus on process improvement with proven results
  • Blackbelt Certified Lean or Six Sigma
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Financial Services Industry exposureExperience as Business Analyst
  • Self-organized
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with BPM tools and BPMS , etc.
Assets/Nice to have:
  • Experience in RPA opportunity identification/implementation
  • Experience with BPM methodologies and implementations
  • Understanding of how ERP, CRM and BI tools operate.
