This role will partner heavily across the business areas in the enterprise, driving cloud automation process and solutions.Our Way of Working:Were proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.Key Responsibilities:Design, Build and Enable Kubernetes Platforms: Design, develop and deploy AWS-based platforms such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Fargate, Broadcom Tanzu Kubernetes Grid IntegratedCloud Infrastructure Development: Utilize Terraform for automation, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure.Container Engineering: Build automation for container deployment with HELM and other GitOps tools to maintain an run the platform clusters.Cloud Networking and Security: Design and implement for secure cloud networking, including subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and security measures.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless platform integration and functionality.Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and best practices.Provide technical leadership and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement amongst teams.Promote best practices for cloud architecture, governance and operations across the organization.Required Skills/Knowledge:Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture; OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience IT infrastructure or cloud architecture6+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on AWSExperience in banking OR other highly regulated industries with a focus on compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR or SOC 2Proven expertise designing, implementing, and securing full scale AWS IaaS environments and virtual datacenters (including infrastructure, networking, storage services)Proven experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting AWS data platforms and integration services.Advanced proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDKDeep understanding of cloud networking, identify management, security and governanceHighly Recommended AWS Certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect ProfessionalAWS Certified Security SpecialtyDesired Characteristics:Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across IT and business, and other cross-functional teamsProficiency in analyzing complex challenges and making data-driven decisionsAbility to adapt to evolving technologies and priorities and staying up to date to drive innovation and continuous improvementEligibility Criteria:Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture; OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience IT infrastructure or cloud architectureWork Timings:This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
