Job Overview
Navingroup is a business house, into 3PL & port operations. Company is planning to start a freight forwarding & NVOCC division. The incumbent will Lead the organizations effort for starting & making this division a success. Will lead growth strategy and revenue-generation efforts across both NVOCC and Freight Forwarding services. This role involves identifying market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and guiding sales teams to achieve ambitious business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and sales targets for NVOCC and Freight Forwarding.
Identify emerging market trends, new routes, and potential service expansions.
Partnership & Network Development
Build and maintain relationships with carriers, shipping lines, overseas agents, and key industry stakeholders.
Negotiate slot agreements, volume discounts, and strategic alliances.
Sales Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and key account management teams.
Set sales KPIs, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Market Intelligence & Product Development
Conduct competitive analysis; propose new services or routes to stay ahead in the market.
Collaborate with operations to develop value-added services (e.g., specialized cargo handling).
Brand Visibility & Representation
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client visits.
Oversee marketing and branding initiatives to enhance market presence.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics. Excellent contacts in industry with customers (clients), vendors & shipping lines. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and managing high-performance teams.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Deep understanding of shipping regulations, incoterms, and global trade practices.
