Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

VoIP and Data Engineer

to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade voice and data network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

VoIP systems, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), routing/switching

, and

troubleshooting complex communication environments

. This role involves hands-on work configuring IP telephony platforms, ensuring high availability of data networks, and optimizing performance across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain

VoIP systems

(e.g., Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager, FreePBX, 3CX, or similar). Administer SIP trunks, gateways, and session border controllers (SBCs). Monitor and troubleshoot

VoIP call quality, latency, jitter, and packet loss

issues. Plan, deploy, and maintain

network infrastructure

, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. Manage VLANs, QoS, VPNs, NAT, and IP addressing schemes for optimal performance. Integrate VoIP systems with CRM or other enterprise platforms when needed. Implement and maintain

network security measures

, including firewall rules and intrusion prevention. Collaborate with IT and software teams on infrastructure scalability and reliability improvements. Maintain system documentation, configurations, and change control logs. Provide technical support and training for VoIP and network issues.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years

of experience in

VoIP and data network engineering

roles. In-depth knowledge of

SIP, RTP, QoS, and TCP/IP networking

. Proficiency in

Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Juniper, or Fortinet

devices. Experience with

Linux-based systems

for VoIP hosting and network monitoring. Familiarity with

network monitoring tools

(e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex network environments. Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

Certifications:

CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or VoIP-specific certifications

. Experience with

virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

and

cloud-hosted VoIP

(AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of

firewall and VPN configuration

for secure remote VoIP access. Familiarity with

AI-driven network analytics or automation

tools is a plus.
